Hello greenies! Happy New Year! Did you have lovely and warm holidays? For me, it was hard. The first Christmas and New Year’s Eve without my beloved… it was heartbreaking. I’ve had friends over for a lil’ chat, and as much as I appreciate the company, I have to admit, too much human interaction, for now, tends to be a bit overwhelming. Solitude, I guess, is what I’m seeking for the time being.

This edition of the discounts and free organic beauty gifts is the first one in 2017 – and there are many more to come. I’m also preparing many reviews, starting next week; there’s gonna be a bit of everything: lip balm, cleanser, perfume… I look forward to presenting my reviews to you, and there will be many in the up coming weeks and months, along with various articles, so make sure you check back to see what’s happening :)

You know about that pledge, that ban on January shopping? Yeah, I’m not into that; too herd-like and I was never one to follow the popular opinion or trends. While January can be quite taxing, pun intended, on the wallet, I am a proponent of not spending too much every month, not just in January. Buy what you need and treat yourself occasionally with what you wish/want; do not over-buy. You really do not need 5 different cleansers, especially if you use natural cosmetic products, as they do not have as long of a shelf life as conventional ones. Seeing some bloggers showing tons of products, accompanied only with a few words (to satisfy the sponsors) of how obsessed they are with every product, while having the many products just sit on cosmetic shelves (or selling them – yes, that happens, too) is anything but green, much as they wish to present and sell themselves as green beauty bloggers.

So if you ran out of a certain product and need to get a new one – buy yourself one, even if it’s January – and why not take advantage of paying less for it by using discounts. Oh, and there’s a free Love Lula’s Luxury Beauty Box worth £150 available for grabs – and it includes the Cacay oil which I’ve reviewed not too long ago.

  1. I agree on that what you’ve said about ‘ green beauty bloggers’. I think they are the worst thing for the green community. Acording to them, you need to have a 1000$/month budget to do a full ‘morning & evening routine’. I wanted to ask you ,do you have any experience with ‘jade rollers’ or any ‘face tools/rollers’? I saw some on Amazon for 9-10$ (but,no one seems to be shipping to my country-as usual). And I’m planing to get myself a good facial oil and shea butter.Sesame oil isn’t working for me any more. Need something better. Could you do a review on some creams/serums with hemp oil? Bought it ,love it ,use it as a body moisturiser .But I put few drops of sweet orange oil to cover up the hemp oil scent. I have like a million questions, glad you’re back :))
