Nudus lipsticks are luxurious, handcrafted, all natural with 27 active botanical ingredients, long lasting, hydrating and softening and whose high pigmented beautiful colors are derived from bioactive color extracts.
I think the headline for these beauties called Nudus lipsticks should suffice, but they do, indeed, deserve a detailed review – and this review was planned to go live nearly two years ago – yes, it’s taken so long to finally feature these amazing beauties from Australia. I’ve got them back in 2015 to test and review them for you, my lovely readers, and as you know, in that time and after it, many things have happened in my life, and I am slowly trying to somehow get back on track.
I’m sure you’ve heard by now of these, rightfully so, popular and all natural lipsticks called Nudus, right? And, basically, everything that you’ve heard – is correct.
The Nudus lipsticks are handmade in small batches in Australia. The founder of Nudus, Diana, has spent many years on creating these beautiful, all-natural lipsticks. If you ask me, the attention to detail, the ingredients, the luxurious colors and the feeling on the lips these Nudus lipsticks present – all the work of Diana’s is clearly visible.
These lipsticks are a work of art – from the packaging on – the tubes are minimalist and elegant. The lipsticks themselves – really worth admiration. The Nudus lipsticks contain a myriad of lips – beneficial ingredients – from hydrating, nourishing to softening: antioxidants, minerals, vitamins…

Back in 2015 Diana and I chatted about which colors I’d wish to test and review; with so many beautiful colors to pick from, I picked the ones, which most align with my personal taste: 27 Kisses, Halo, Just Like Jade, Naked, and Precious.
Nudus 27 Kisses may be the most praised of the Nudus lipsticks. On its own, the color is matte mauve-ish, with a very distant hint of bergundy, but on my lips – more than not peachy with a subtle matte pink. Yes, it’s rather difficult to properly describe this color, as it’s quite elusive, mostly based on the lips that are wearing it. One description of the Nudus 27 Kisses is easy – it’s a beautiful, elegant color, lovely for a day wear or for an evening occasion, when you’re bolder with your eye makeup and wish to compliment it with an elegant, nude-ish lipstick, which gives off a 60s feeling.
Nudus Halo is a pretty and creamy almost standard pink, but not of the cheap-looking variety. Just as with all the Nudus lipsticks, this one, too is very pigmented and you can alternate between a full, almost matte with a hint of glosiness, coverage or combine it with a lipbalm for a more subtle tinted-lipbalm-like look. This color compliments the smokey eye wonderfully.
Nudus Precious is a happy Summer color – a bolder and more in-your-face pink-roses-in-in-full-bloom pink color for those who wish a wilder but not cheap-neon looking color on their lips. A minimal makeup, with only BB cream and a hint of mascara, along with yellow nail polish and a straw hat would bring this Nudus lipstick to life!
Nudus Naked is a classic nude color on a light brown, cappuccino side of a color; there’s just a tiny bit of shimmer. I like to mix this one with the Nudus Halo. This color works nicely with brown-color based eye makeup, and for both, the eye makeup and the lip color to stand out, a bit of a rich, matte brown-purple-burgundy eye shadow would do the trick.
Nudus Just Like Jade is like a royal plum, with a brownish nude undertone and a hint of shimmer. Very pigmented, rich color, made for festivities and elegant evenings paired with a gold nail polish; but for the day wear, I’d recommend it either using it with the most minimal makeup possible, or with lipbalm – the richness of the color will still be there, it will just be more subtle.

My final word?
Nudus lipsticks are a work of art, made from a handful of excellent natural ingredients – there are so many skin and lips beneficial ingredients in these lipsticks – it’s just amazing! For a long time, it’s been you either got a lipstick of a beautiful color and terrible (including lead!) ingredients, or a lipstick with natural ingredients (though not as many excellent ingredients as the Nudus ones contain), but the colors may not have been up to par. Nudus lipsticks are in a league of their own – from gorgeous, highly pigmented and ongt lasting colors, to excellent ingredients, which leave your lips moisturized and nourished and soft. The fact that they come in an elegant and unique packaging is just another added bonus. Another bonus? You can easily mix the colors in order to create a new color! Go ahead and experiment!
The price? Yes, with €34 per lipstick, they fall into a more expensive category. Let’s be honest – €34 is not an easily affordable purchase when it comes to a lipstick. But – if you’re planning on splurging on one lipstick this year – let it be the Nudus one – you will me amazed by basically any color you pick and you will know you have an excellent selection of lips-beneficial ingredients on your lips as well.
From the time Diana, the founder and creator of these beautiful lipsticks had sent me these lipsticks and now, Nudus created 5 new colors – Amalia and Viva are surely on my wishlist! – and I think I can speak for all the Nudus’ fans out there – we’re eagerly awaiting what Diana, the natural and handcrafted lipsticks artist, will create in the near future.
The Nudus lipsticks deserve to be in your makeup bag, truly!

Tell me, have you had a chance to try these beautiful lipsticks yet? How did you like the Nudus lipsticks? Do you think €34 is a bit too expensive for a lipstick, even if it’s an all natural, with plenty of natural ingredients and comes in beautiful colors? I’m curious to hear what you think!
