Even though there are still some very sunny and quite warm days, the mornings are getting colder. I am gradually changing the products I’m using, but at the same time, as you may have noticed, I do keep a lot of the same products in my skincare routine rotations. I tend to use the products that work on their own and in combination with other products, while introducing the new ones slowly. I do not hoard products, using them for only a short period of time, and then letting them sit in a cosmetic drawer – so you won’t see me posting my skincare routines every month with totally new products featured. How can some post their skincare routines every day, claiming they’re using new products every day and even posting from a perspective of an authority and claiming to have gain an adequate experience of every mentioned product is difficult to understand.
My Morning Skincare Routine: Cleansing
The Alteya Organics Cleanser is a gentle cream cleanser; in the morning, I use one pump of this cleanser, gently apply it on my skin, kind of like a cream, and gently massage it and then rinse it with a lukewarm water. Occasionally, especially when I layered several products, including Madara SOS Mask, the precious night, I opt for Alteya Organics Facial Cleanser & Wash in Vanilla & Geranium: it gently cleanses and removes any of the remaining impurities. It’s also very affordable, and I, of course, have at least 2 other Alteya Organics Facial Cleanse & Washes on my wishlist, which will soon find their way on my cosmetic shelf as I am running out of the Vanilla & Geranium one.
My Morning Skincare Routine: Masking
As I’ve been using a more creamy and richer textures in my evening skincare routines, as well as in my morning skincare routines, I don’t want to overload my skin too much with masks in the morning as well, so I’ve been opting for a quick 5 minute pick me up masking in the morning – a few days a week, using Madara Regene Volume Rebuilding Lifting Mask and Jane Scrivner Intense De-Stress Mask (full review here); a little truly goes a long way with the Jane Scrivner mask, so it seems like I’ve just dipped into the mask – as it lasts and lasts.
My Morning Skincare Routine: Toning
For toning, I keep the routine pretty much the same by switching (and mixing) between the uplifting and refreshing Alteya Organics Melissa Water, as it helps balance and control oily skin during the day and the calming Alteya Organics Chamomile Hydrolate.
My Morning Skincare Routine: Moisturizing
My first line of hydration defense is still a water-based serum, this time in a form of a quickly absorbing Ere Perez Quandong Green Booster Serum which is a poetry for the skin; I can’t wait to share my full review of this excellent serum with you; and on a similar note, I can’t wait to try a few more Ere Perez skincare products, since everything I’ve tried so far from this brand is exceptional – and the same goes for their makeup products as well. Following this serum, I use another excellent product from Ere Perez – Ere Perez Moringa All-Beauty Creme; it glides on the skin, quickly absorbs, is light, hydrating and makes a makeup application perfect. Occasionally, especially when I use just Madara Deep Moisture Fluid, I combine a tad bit of Jane Scrivner OO Cream, which is light, fast absorbing cream, by also very hydrating and quite matte in its finish. For the eyes, I’ve been using a tiny amount of Madara Eye Contour Cream which came at the right time in my August Love Lula Beauty Box. My morning skincare routine is now adapted to the makeup I use, mainly the more creamy foundations. But more on that in my next makeup routine edition.
My Morning Skincare Routine: Priming and SPF
I may not apply as a generous amount of this primer as during hot Summer days, but I still, nonetheless use it – just a bit more sparingly – the Alteya Organics Rose Otto Face Sunscreen SPF25 (read my full review here).
My Morning Skincare Routine In Short:
- Cleansing: Alteya Organics Gentle Cream Cleanser; Alteya Organics Facial Cleanser & Wash
- Masking: Madara Regene Volume Building Lifting Mask; Jane Scrivner Intense De-Stress Mask
- Toning: Alteya Organics Melissa Water; Alteya Organics Chamomile Water
- Moisturizing: Ere Perez Quandong Green Booster Serum; Ere Perez Moringa All-Beauty Creme; Jane Scrivner OO Cream; Madara Deep Moisture Fluid; Madara Eye Contour Cream
- Priming and SPF: Alteya Organics Rose Otto Face Sunscreen SPF25
A bit more creamy and richer textures, a bit of a layering here and there – one lighter and one creamier product – along with uplifting and refreshing hydrolates – as always – this is how I’ve been gradually switching my morning skincare routines accordingly to colder mornings.
