It seems every year, the last days in August, beginning of September, there are a few heavy rainshowers and storms, which bring a substantially colder weather. Change of seasons, and with it comes changing the beauty products I use – not completely, but gradually.

My Morning Skincare Routine #3

My Morning Skincare Routine: Cleansing

My Morning Skincare Routine #3

While I am still using the gentle Katheleen Natural Cleansing Lotion in the morning, I am gradually switching to Alteya Organics Gentle Cleanser , also due to discovering that the Kathleen Cleanser can be used for eye makeup removal; I’ve always had a difficult time finding an effective as well as gentle and non-irritating eye makeup remover, so once I do find one, I tend to save it for that.

My Morning Skincare Routine: Masking

My Morning Skincare Routine #3

Once a week, but not every morning, I alternate between  Madara Regene Volume Rebuilding Lifting Mask  – for that quick pick me up, plumper appearance,  Jane Scrivner Intense De-Stress Mask (full review here) – this mask is nourishing and gives a rested appearance and Madara SOS Hydra Moisture & Radiance Mask (full review here) for and instant hydration booster.

My Morning Skincare Routine: Toning

For toning, I’ve been switching  (and mixing) between the uplifting and refreshing Alteya Organics Melissa Water, as it helps balance and control oily skin during the day and the calming Alteya Organics Chamomile Hydrolate

My Morning Skincare Routine: Moisturizing

My Morning Skincare Routine #3

My first line of hydration defense is still the light, hydrating, water-based and quickly absorbing Fom London Anti-Pollution Hydra Plump Serum, followed by a tad bit of Ere Perez Moringa All-Beauty Creme; it glides on the skin, quickly absorbs, is light, hydrating and makes a makeup application perfect. Occasionally, I use a tad bit of  Jane Scrivner OO Cream, which is light, fast absorbing cream, by also very hydrating and quite matte in its finish. During the Summer, I incorporate an eye cream usually just in my evening skincare routine, but now that the mornings are more chilly, I use a tiny amount of Madara Eye Contour Cream which came at the right time in my August Love Lula Beauty Box. All these products signal the switch in my makeup routine as well, meaning that the  Inika Loose Mineral Foundation (full review here) will make a way for  Ere Perez Quinoa Water Foundation (full review here) and  Lavera 2-1 Compact Foundation.

My Morning Skincare Routine: Priming and SPF

Alteya Organics Rose Otto Face Sunscreen SPF25 plays a role as a primer and SPF protection (along with being a moisturizer as well); a sheer tinted sunscreen, which feels velvety and gives a beautiful dewy look, and makes for a perfect primer for the loose mineral foundation to follow, as well as for a no makeup look. You can read my full review here.

My Morning Skincare Routine #3

The very light and mostly water-based products are slowly making a way for a bit more creamy textures, or at least – a balanced mixture of the two.
