After gushing over Mel Millis Phytonutri Rose & Pomegranate Rebalancing Body Oil, today I’ll do some more gushing. This time, over Mel Millis cleansing oil, mist tonic and rebalancing face oil.

Just as with body oils, Mel Millis offers three lines of face products: Rebalancing (Daily Cleansing Oil, Rose Hydrolate Mist Tonic, Rose & Pomegranate Rebalancing Face Oil), Revitalise (Daily Cleansing Oil, Geranium Hydrolate Mist Tonic, Frankincense &Camelia Revitalising Face Oil), and Re-Energise line (Daily Cleansing Oil, Neroli Hydrolate Mist Tonic, Neroli & Baobab Re-Energising Face Oil).

Mel Millis Daily Travel Trio

All these products also come as handy travel trios; I’ve chosen the Rebalance Daily Travel Trio.

Mel Millis Daily Travel Trio

Mel Millis Daily Travel Trio: Elegant gift bag from recycled paper with seeds

Mel Millis Rebalance Daily Travel Trio consists of a Daily Cleansing Oil, Rose Hydrolate Mist Tonic and Rose & Pomegranate Rebalancing Face Oil.

Mel Millis Daily Cleansing Oil

Mel Millis Daily Cleansing Oil

Ingredients:  Simmondsia Chinensis (jojoba oil), Prunus Armeniaca (apricot oil), Persea Gratissma (avocado oil), Rosa Canina (rosehip oil), Camellia Oleifera (green tea extract), Rosmarinus Officinalis (rosemary oil), Lavendula Augustifolia (lavender oil), Citrus Sinensis (sweet orange oil), Pelargonium Graveolens (geramiun oil), Anthemis Nobilis (chamomile oil)

I am a big proponent of using oils as cleansers. Mel Millis Daily Cleanser Oil comes in a dark violet glass bottle with a handy pump. The scent is very pleasant, citrus-y like, its texture is medium thick and the color is very light brownish/yellow. I apply a few pumps of Mel Millis Daily Cleansing Oil directly on the skin and massage it and then wipe it off with a cotton pad. The cleansing oil cleanses most of the makeup and dirt, although, as always, I use toner after as well. You can also use Mel Millis Daily Cleansing Oil for oil cleansing method by massaging the oil into skin, then compress the muslin cloth previously soaked in warm water to the skin an wipe it off. After using Mel Millis Daily Cleansing Oil, the skin is smooth, calm and even nourished. Those, who have sensitive eyes – this cleansing oil would be perfect for removing eye makeup, such as mascara, as it is really gentle on the eyes.

The ingredients in the Mel Millis Daily Cleansing Oil are amazing; you could easily use this cleansing oil as a face oil in itself as well. Jojoba oil, emollient and emulsifier, has sebum-identical properties, avocado oil is rich with linoleic and oleic acid and perfect for mature and sensitive skin. Rosehip oil is rich in Vitamin F (omega 3 and omega 6), promotes skin regeneration. Green Tea Extract is a potent antioxidant and has astringent and anti-microbial properties. Rosemary oil is cell-renewal stimulant and promotes and improves circulation. Chamomile Oil, another potent antioxidant with anti-inflammatory, astringent properties calms the skin. Sweet Orange Oil relieves the toxins from the skin and works as natural exfoliator.

The anti-inflammatory ingredients make this cleansing oil suitable for sensitive skin, anti-bacterial ingredients for oily skin while astringent ingredients make this oil suitable for skin lacking firmness.

Mel Millis Daily Cleansing Oil comes in a 50ml bottle, and it’s €34. Cleansing oil, as part of a Daily Travel Trio comes in a 30ml bottle. The price for cleansing oil may seem high, but again – this cleansing oil consists of excellent and expensive vegetable and essential oils – and nothing else. If your skin is sensitive to various foaming agents, then this cleansing oil would suit you very well.

Mel Millis Organic Rose Hydrolate Mist Tonic

Mel Millis Rose Hydrolate Mist Tonic

Ingredients: Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Rosa Damascena.

If I had to choose one beauty product I can’t do without, it would have to be a toner/hydrolate. And it would have to be a Rose Toner/Hydrolate. Excellent as a cleaning product, excellent for helping absorb face oil/moisturiser and excellent for refreshing the skin, especially during summer. Mel Millis Organic Rose Hydrolate Mist Tonic is all of this. It also contains Rosa Damascena essential oil, and THIS ingredient really needs no explanation. Those who love skin toners, but have sensitive skin and have a negative reaction to alcohol in toners – this toner would suit you. It comes in a glass spray bottle. Price? Around €26 for 50ml bottle. That is, even with Rose Damascena essential oil in it, a bit too expensive in itself as well and especially as in comparison to cleansing oil and face oil and I could not justify purchasing it.

Mel Millis Organic Phytonutri Rose & Pomegranate Rebalancing Face Oil

Mel Millis Rose & Pomegranate Rebalancing Face Oil

Ingredients: Rosa Canina (rosehip oil), Argania Spinosa (argan oil), Punica Granatum, Adansonia Digitala (pomegranate seed oil), Rosa Rubignosa CO2 Extract (rosehip oil extract), Tocopherol (vitamin E), Pelargonium Graveolens (geranium oil), Rose Damascena (rose), Citrus Aurantium (neroli oil), Anthemis Nobilis (chamomile oil), Rosmarinus Officinallis (rosemary oil).

Another excellent product from Mel Millis; Rose & Pomegranate Face Oil is poetry for skin. It truly is. This face oil perfect for my skin. The absorption is quick, and it leaves the skin nourished and soft. The scent is lovely – a mix of fruity with notes of citrus and roses. It has the same ingredients as the Mel Millis Phytonutri Rose & Pomegranate Rebalancing Body Oil, sans Pumpkin Seed Oil, but the formulation in face oil is different as compared to body oil, especially the concentration of these amazing, potent and expensive ingredients being present in higher concentration. Mel Millis Rebalancing Face Oil is suitable for all skin types, from sensitive, irritated, oily, dry – you name it, the skin will eat it up! You will only need a small amount of this amazing face oil, it’s that effective, and it will last you a long time. The face oil comes in a glass bottle with a stopper – this is the only minus I give this otherwise amazing face oil; the precious oil would be much better packaged in a pump bottle (like the cleansing oil).

Price? €42 for 50ml bottle. Absolutely acceptable and given the ingredients and their high concentration, as well as a the fact that it’s 50 ml – I’d dare and say the price is low.

The Mel Millis Phytonutri Rebalance Daily Travel Trio costs €54, and the price is totally understandable, reasonable and acceptable.

Mel Millis most certainly won my praise. The products are amazing, and a true gift for any fan of high quality natural organic products. Rose & Pomegranate Rebalancing Face Oil will most certainly become a constant member on my cosmetic shelf. Naturally, other lines from Mel Millis are also high on my wish list. Kudos to Mel Millis for concocting such fabulous skin products!
