As the first month of – what we all hope to be a better year – 2021 is ending, I am starting the year 2021 on my blog with my first impressions of this month’s Love Lula Beauty Box. I really like the contents of this Beauty Box – it contains care products from head to toe, almost: a shampoo and hair conditioner, a liquid soap, a face balm, a lip balm, a hand cream and a sample sachet. All in all, there are 7 products, 4 full sized, 2 travel sized and one sample sachet – all of them also smelling wonderfully. A total value of this month’s Love Lula Beauty Box might be surprisingly, for Love Lula Beauty Box, that is, low – £35,00, but that’s still nearly 3 times more than a monthly cost with a yearly subscription.
So, what’s in this month’s Love Lula Beauty Box?
♥ Hurraw! Lipbalm (4,3g/£4,99). Love Lula Beauty Box is a special treat on its own as it is; a Love Lula Beauty Box containing a Hurraw! lipbalm makes it a double special treat! I’ve used many Hurraw! lipbalms over the years, being they are one of my favorite lipbalms, and the one from this month’s Love Lula Beauty Box, the Ahiflower Apple lipbalm is oh so delicious! The scent is perky, happy (and we all need this now, don’t we?), unique and the texture feels so smooth, silky, nourishing, rich on the lips… I mean, it’s the Hurraw! lipbalm – what else can I say?
♥ Balm Balm Lavender Face Balm (30ml/£9,50). If the lipbalm above is perky, this balm is soothing, with its gentle calming lavender scent. Given it’s a face balm, concentration of lavender essential oil is far less than the concentration from lavender hand cream we received in Love Lula Beauty Box January 2019, but still – it’s just so lovely! The balm is perfect for this time of the year – rich and nourishing – and of course, a little goes a long way. I really like how my skin feels in the morning – smooth and fed. And even though only a little bit of this “melty” balm is needed, I’ve been dipping in quite deep, but still – it will last me through this Winter. Price is also reasonable.
♥ Moi Vert Liquid Soap (250ml/£8,00). Another product from this newly launched brand – this time around, another perky smelling one (reminds me of my all time favorite Suki lemongrass exfoliator)- a liquid soap. I really like everything about this soap, everything but the price. The packaging/design is minimalistic – quite retro. Minimalistic is also formulation, containing a few ingredients, and the cleansing agents are very gentle and kind to the skin. There’s a creamy foaming, very gentle and non-stripping. The soap leaves the skin so soft – like a spring water. It’s said this liquid soap is a multi-tasker, making it suitable as a household soap/cleanser as well, but with 8,00 for 250ml, my kitchen counters surely won’t be cleaned with this one! I will leave the soap to care for my hands – cleaning them gently, leaving them soft and nicely smelling, thank you very much!
♥ Ayumi Hibiscus Shampoo and Conditioner (travel size; full size 250ml/£6,29). I’m not a huge fan of this brand, mainly due to certain ingredients used. I do like this duo, though. The shampoo is quite a surprise as far as performance (and scent) goes – it’s cleanses the hair really thoroughly in a quite gentle way. This is quite an “economic” shampoo, given how little it’s needed for it to do the job properly – a creamy foam is achieved with very little product. The scent is also quite lasting. I also like the conditioner – it softens the hair and makes it manageable; the scent is also as lovely as the shampoo’s. I might give the full size of this duo a try; the price is also not too steep.
♥ Natura Siberica Oblepikha Hand Cream (30ml/around£5,00). I received this hand cream back in my Love Lula Beauty Box November 2018; this one from this month’s Love Lula Beauty Box is the new formulation. Still like it a lot: a perfect Winter cream, nourishing, rich and the scent is really lovely. In fact, this hand cream from Oblepikha line made me try the hair care products from this line and then many other shampoos, conditioners and shower gels from Natura Siberica – which reminds me I need to share with you, finally, the review of these affordable products. This hand cream, again, is not currently available at Love Lula – but check back soon.
♥ Madara Hydra Firm Jelly Sample Sachet.
So this concludes my first impressions of this month’s Love Lula Beauty Box. The theme of this month’s Beauty Box is “nourishing with lovely scents from head to toe” with a mixture of hair care products, liquid soap, nourishing face balm, rich hand cream and amazing lip balm. Great start of the year for Love Lula Beauty Box!
And all these products have a total value of £35,00 whereas the actual cost of the yearly Love Lula Beauty Box subscription is £12,66 (or £16,60 for international customers) per month (yep, even less than it was before).
