Oh my gracious goodness! I could bathe my face in this serum!
I’ve tried many natural products from various brands over the years, and I’ve equally tried many natural facial oils and serums, but none come close to Laurel Whole Plant Organics Balance Facial Serum! With so many natural products on my wishlist, Laurel Whole Plant Organics products have been very high on my wish list for quite some time now, and you can imagine how delighted I was to receive a package from Laurel Whole Plant Organics containing these luxurious products to test and review. I took some time to properly test them before going live with my reviews.
Today, the first product from Laurel Whole Plant Organics I will review is their incredible facial serum for oily and combination skin.
Laurel Whole Plant Organics Balance Facial Serum comes in an elegant dark glass bottle, protecting the precious natural ingredients; the dropper serves for precise application of this precious serum. Immediately upon opening the bottle, you witness the claims of this serum are not exaggerated; the color is rich deep yellow, the texture is thick and speaks of the highly concentrated ingredients this serum contains.
The smell is as natural as it gets – with rose geranium, immortelle and chamomile being first to introduce themselves to my scent sensory senses.
A natural facial serum is a potent and highly concentrated product, which aims to deliver fast and equally long-term results, by targeting specific requirements of the skin. In a beauty product, aimed at oily, combination and blemish prone skin, you should look for balancing, healing and anti-septic and anti-bacterial properties. Laurel Whole Plant Organics Balance Facial Serum delivers all of this and more.

I’ve been using Laurel Whole Plant Organics Balance Facial Serum for about two months now, in combination with several other Laurel Whole Plant Organics products (make sure you check back for more Laurel Whole Plant Organics reviews!). Despite fast absorption, I’ve been using this serum mostly as a night treatment, in order for my face to peacefully drink up all the luxurious potent ingredients. Highly concentrated, a drop or two is all that’s needed for the whole face and neck. I also tried using it under DD cream and foundation – only one tiny drop – and it also worked nicely: it absorbs quickly and gives a nice glow to the skin. Even though this bottle will not last till winter, it would work nicely under foundation during colder weather.
After 2 months of using this serum, I can attest to the visible change it has left my skin with: it has made my skin clearer, it improved and toned my skin’s texture, the skin’s oil production has been, truly, balanced. It has a soothing effect on the skin, especially when there were instances of redness or some type of irritation. In the morning, my skin looks rested, toned, hydrated and soft. A remarkable natural beauty product, indeed.

My final word?
Laurel Whole Plant Organics Balance Facial Serum is an absolute luxurious treat for the skin! With potent, highly concentrated, organic active ingredients, which leave your skin balanced, hydrated, toned and healed as well as detoxified – you couldn’t ask for more. Laurel Whole Plant Organics uses the plants from carefully selected small farms, and the plants are processed by Laurel brand themselves. Being a huge fan of natural, organic facial oils and serums, especially oil – based ones, this serum delivers and answers all demands I look for in a quality natural product: from all natural organic ingredients, to performance and containing no preservatives. The ingredients in this serum make for a perfect formulation; ingredients work hand in hand, bringing out the best of each other and working in synergy with each other.
Given I’ve developed a rigorous system of analyzing beauty products based on their ingredients and I emphasize and point this out in my reviews – very few brands and products had received my 5 stars review; Laurel Whole Plant Organics Balance Facial Serum is one of those rare products.
Price? I’ve been using a 10ml serum which comes in a travel set for oily and combination skin ($68), but the regular size – 30ml – costs $68. Completely justifiable. As you know, there are (somewhat) natural moisturizers, retailing for, say, 40€, and could not hold a candle ingredients – and – performance – wise to Laurel Whole Plant Organics Balance Facial Serum. The only problem, in regards to the price, presents the customs tax for customers outside USA, and even when European stores start selling Laurel products, they will include shipping and customs tax they had to pay, so the price will not be that much lower.
For the purpose of testing and reviewing it, I’ve been using Laurel Whole Plant Organics Balance Facial Serum more or less on a daily basis for nearly 2 months, and there’s still some left; and what’s left will be used for special treatments. I’d guess 30ml could be stretched to at least 6 months, since this concentrated potent potion works its magic with 1 or 2 drops. An investment for your skin, no doubt about it.
Would I buy Laurel Whole Plant Organics Balance Facial Serum again? Absolutely and most definitely! Another Laurel serum, firmly on my wish list, is their antioxidant serum (if we’re talking about serums only – there’s basically their whole collection on my wish list!). As mentioned earlier, I will be posting the reviews of other Laurel products as well, so if you’re curious how much they’ve impressed me, look out in the next few weeks for more Laurel reviews.
