Inika Eye Shadow Duos consist of two beautiful, rich and pigmented eye shadows, which are easily blendable with each other, giving a natural and polished look.

Inika Pressed Mineral Eye Shadow Duo Review

Not too long ago the Australian natural beauty brand Inika has launched a re-packaged makeup goodies; among them, the beautiful eye shadow duos: in total, there are 7 eye shadow duos and all 14 colors are quite pretty.

The Inika eye shadows are mineral, finely milled and firmly pressed – there’s no fall-out at all! As someone who prefers minimal and natural makeup look, I had to gently press the eye shadow brush – these eye shadows are truly very pigmented. Very easily to apply and blend, the Inika eye shadows last for about 5 hours – but keep in mind I have oily skin and I do not use any makeup setting sprays. Another great aspect of these eye shadows is the fact they do not crease.

I’m not a fan of loud eye shadow colors, or those 80s blue colors – I’ve always preferred earth based colors, which look natural and compliment my hazel eyes and black hair, so I’ve picked Inika Eye Shadow Duos in shades Gold Oyster and Black Sand.

Inika Pressed Mineral Eye Shadow Duo Review

Inika Eye Shadow Duo in shade Gold Oyster offers two metal colors: gold darker champagne color and a bronze-ish color with a brown-ish undertone. Either of these beautiful colors can be used alone or blended with each other to create a new color. again, these are very rich pigmented colors, so a gentle press/touch of an eye shadow brush is more than enough to achieve a full color this eye shadows offer.

Inika Pressed Mineral Eye Shadow Duo Review

Inika Eye Shadow Duo in Black Sand offers one shade of a slightly metal light color, which is a mix of a gentle pink, light mauve, with a very distant hint of copper, and the other shade in a matte nearly black but more very dark grey color. Either can be used alone or beautifully blended with each other, as well as with the shades from the Golden Oyster duo. The nearly black/dark grey shade works perfectly well as an eyeliner as well – but again – it’s very pigmented and should be applied gently – unless you prefer a strong smoky eye look. On a related note – the black and sand eye shadows, blended with each other would also work nicely with the Inika Lipstick in Naked Kiss (I reviewed this lipstick in my Love Lula November Beauty Box post).

How about the ingredients?

Inika Pressed Mineral Eye Shadow Duo Review                                                       Inika Eye Shadows: Oyster, Gold, Sand and Black

Ingredients: Gold/Left: Mica, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Zinc Stearate, Iron Oxide (CI 77491), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891). Oyster/Right :Mica, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Zinc Stearate, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax*, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499).

The Inika Eye Shadows consist of minerals, such as mica, iron oxide and titanium dioxide, which are the source for colors, along with cocoa butter and waxes. The only ingredient with a low health concern is zinc stearate – a colorant and an anti-caking agent.

My final word?

Inika Pressed Mineral Eye Shadow Duo Review                                          Inika Eye Shadow Duo & EcoTools Eye Enriching Duo Brush Set

Inika Eye Shadow Duos are a treat for anyone, who likes rich, pigmented natural eye shadows. They apply without any problems, have no fall-out, do not irritate the eyes and their lasting power is based on what you should expect from a natural eye shadow, which does not consist of toxic ingredients. The colors are beautiful and offer a natural and elegant makeup look. All the Inika Eye Shadows can be worn alone or blended with any other color from the other duos – blending these eye shadows is super easy.

Price? The Inika Eye Shadow Duos do not fall under very affordable – with around €25 for each of the seven duos – but they are – duos, so for €25 you get two colors. The amount of each of the eye shadows is very generous and the eye shadows being firmly pressed and richly pigmented, they will last for a very long time – even if they do not consist of any preservatives.

I am really liking the two duos I have in my cosmetic bag – the Gold Oyster and Black Sand. I was eyeing, pun intended, the Choc Coffee as well, as those colors are also beautiful and very much after my taste, but having enough brown-ish eye shadows for the time being, I’m good for now.

Yes, the Inika Eye Shadow Duos are highly recommended by me!
