Ere Perez Olive Oil Lipsticks are luxurious, highly pigmented lipsticks, which nourish and hydrate the lips.
It seems no matter which Ere Perez product I try, I am always impressed with it; I’ve had the pleasure of using many Ere Perez makeup products, and they’re all performing at a high level, whether it’s their water foundation, carrot color pots, mascara, eye shadows… Of course, I have to mention their incredible water serum as well, which I’ve been using all Summer long.
When Ere Perez launched their olive oil lipsticks, so many of them immediately landed on my wishlist and three of them – in my makeup bag. And what a beautiful lipsticks they are, indeed! With a great selection of colors, I am certain everyone will find at least one color for themselves, though if you can manage to pick just one .., hehe.
The Ere Perez Olive Oil Lipsticks come in an elegant, a bit heavy, silver “metal bullets”. The packaging makes for a great choice to keep the lipsticks cool and protected, though, unfortunately, one of my lipsticks broke at the base.
The three Ere Perez Olive Oil Lipsticks that I’ve picked are in Surprise, High Tea and Picnic. All three of them – beautiful colors, very pigmented, long lasting and nourishing and hydrating – they feel velvety on the lips. The rich colors are beautiful on their own, but can be mixed together, creating even more colors. As they are so pigmented, they can be used over a lip balm – creating a still beautiful color – but more like a tinted lip balm.
The Ere Perez Olive Oil Lipsticks contain ingredients, usually found in lip products in order to nourish, hydrate and to make them soft: olive oil, castor seed oil and coca seed butter.
If you like the classic dusty pink nude, then High Tea is the one for you: an elegant, sophisticated, classic dusty pink nude lipstick, with a distant hint of a mauve, perfect for any occasion and any time of the day – it’s that color which makes a great choice for any season. If you’re more on a safe side when it comes to lipsticks – the High Tea is a flattering choice for you. It is a bit similar to another great Ere Perez product – the Carrot Color Pot in Harmony. Elegant choice when paired with a subtle smoky eye look, with grey-ish colors on the eyes.
Think of Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s – this happy, bright peachy nude has a very Spring-like feel, but that doesn’t mean you can’t wear it during Winter as well. There’s a hint of very light, barely there brown color, mixed with a hint of an orange color, with a peachy pinkish color poured on the top. It makes for a cute, rested and bright appearance, coupled with a subtle gold eye shadow (I highly recommend Ere Perez gold eyeshadows or gold eye pencil). And at least one piece of a bright white color piece of clothing. Yellow nail polish couples with the Picnic nicely, too.
Indeed, a surprise – rich, bold, hot pink and very pigmented watermelon color, with a very distant hint of violet sub-tone. Bright, popping and in-your-face – a great pick for Summer, with a very minimal makeup – preferably no eye makeup, but a splash of a highlighter. With just one swipe, you’ll enjoy the richness of this color; but with a lip balm, you’ll still get all of the beautiful color of this daring one, just not as bold.
All of this beautiful lipsticks – beautiful on their own – can be freely mixed together for making of the new colors. And they can all be used as a creamy blush as well – just keep in mind, being as very pigmented as they are, a little goes a very long way!

How about the ingredients?
Ingredients: Ricinus communis (castor) seed oil, coco-caprylate/caprate, pentaerythrityl tetraisostearate, copernicia cerifera (carnauba) wax, octyldodecanol, euphorbia cerifera (candelilla) wax, theobroma cacao (cocoa) seed butter, aluminum starch octenylsuccinate, hydrogenated castor oil, pentaerythrityl tetrabehenate, mica, olea europea (olive) fruit oil, tocopheryl acetate. Castor seed oil, has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties; it conditions the skin. a thick oil, with high fat content. As a water binding agent, ideal for very dry skin, perfect for use in lip balms. Cocoa seed butter, an emollient, is high in Vitamin E. It promotes collagen production and is great for dry skin. Olive oil is an antioxidant with high content of essential fatty acids (linoleic, oleic, palmitic), thus great for dry skin and lips. It has soothing and healing properties and is a great moisturizer.
Aluminum starch octenylsuccinate is an anti-caking agent; while aluminum is a neurotoxin, this anti-caking ingredient is deemed safe.
Pentaerythrityl tetraisostearate and pentaerythrityl tetrabehenate are emulsifiers, emollients and viscosity agents; both synthetic.
Synthetic fluorphlogopite is a synthetic mica; as I am not sure I’ve encountered a synthetic mica yet, at this time, I am uncertain as to its effects.
Potentially problematic ingredients?
Octyldodecanol is emollient and emulsifier, which provides for a soft, silky feel on the skin. It can be a skin and eye irritant.

My final word?
Olive Oil Lipsticks are another high quality, luxurious beauty products from Ere Perez: beautiful, highly pigmented, rich colors – whether you prefer a classic subtle look, a happy bright Spring-like look or bold Summer look – The Ere Perez Olive Oil Lipsticks will not disappoint. They feel creamy and velvety, hydrating and nourishing.
Price? Yeah, the price is in that “ouch” category with £23 for 3,5g of each lipstick; by no means easily affordable, so I’m not going to say you need each and every one, but if you’re ever contemplating on treating yourself with something special and luxurious – and we know us ladies have a special spot for beautiful lipsticks – then I could not more highly recommend snagging one of these beauties. I’ve been enjoying these lipsticks for over a year now (I know – time flies!) and not only do they last a long time, but make for a great colorful pick me up moment.
