Benecos Lipbalms are affordable, buttery and nourishing lipbalms, available in various scents and all with an affordable price tag.

Benecos Lipbalms Review

Last month I reviewed quite a number of affordable Benecos makeup products I’ve collected for my IT Pieces Makeup Palette; in that review, or more precisely, the photos, I included the Benecos Lipbalms – because they’re cute. Today, I’ll review these very Benecos Lipbalms.

Benecos Lipbalms Review

The formulation/ingredients are the same in all of the Benecos Lipbalms, with only one different ingredient – the scent/namesake ingredient. The ingredients in these lipbalms are classical ingredients for a lipbalm: there are nourishing, softening butters such as shea and cocoa butters; castor, olive, jojoba and sunflower oils and waxes. The texture of these Benecos lipbalms would be best described as typical German – all those, who have tried various lipbalms from such German brands like Lavera, Dr Hauschka, Alverde, Terra Naturi – the textures of their lipbalms are more on a hard, sturdy, waxy side. Such lipbalm texture may not be as soft and buttery – just not meltingly buttery, but the lipbalms still make the lips soft and hydrated. Also, such lipbalms tend to last longer, as the texture provides for a more minimal use of the lipbalm.

All of the Benecos lipbalms I’ve been using have pretty much the same texture: more sturdy, hard and waxy. They are all so easy to apply, they just softly and smoothly glide over the lips. Despite being formulated with butters, the lipbalms are not greasy and are an excellent choice as a lip primer  for lipsticks. The ingredients, consisting of lip-beneficial ones, provide for nourishment, hydration and softness.

Currently, there are 6 different scents of Benecos Lipbalms available at Love Lula: Orange, Mint, Blackcurrant, Vanilla, Raspberry and Classic (Unscented). Sometime in the near future I might try the Orange, Mint and Blackcurrant ones as well, but for today, I’ll give you my opinion of the Vanilla, Raspberry and Classic ones.

Benecos Lipbalm Classic (4,5g/£2,95)

Benecos Lipbalms Review

As the name suggests, the Classic option of the Benecos Lipbalm is for those, who prefer non-scented lipbalms, or maybe don’t won’t for a scent of a lipbalm to clash or over-power a scent of a lipgloss or lipstick.

Benecos Lipbalms Review

This one may not be a classic option as far as being just a nourishing, softening lipbalm but with no scent, but it’s classic as far as Vanilla being a scent (and flavor) being used often times in lipbalms – so if you’re a fan of a more sweet smelling lipbalms, especially a gentle scent of Vanilla, you’re gonna like this one.

My final word?

Benecos Lipbalms Review

As you may know, lipbalms are just one of those beauty products I use a lot and while I do have certain lipbalms which are my favorite and I keep going back to, I also enjoy trying as many new ones as possible. I’ve been enjoying these Benecos Lipbalms for a while now – each unique in its scent (or lack of any in the case of the Classic one) and the Raspberry and Vanilla ones easily mixed together for new charming scent. The texture of these lipbalms is on a more waxy, hard side, yet that doesn’t stop these lipbalms from providing a soft, nourishing feeling on the lips – and given the harder texture, they last longer as well.

Benecos Lipbalms Review

As it’s the case with most Benecos products, so are these lipbalms a bargain – £2,95 for a standard 4,5g of a lipbalm tube – affordable.
