Alteya Organics Lip Balms are affordable lip balms, created with high quality and lips-beneficial ingredients; they nourish and hydrate the lips, while smelling fabulous – all based on natural fragrance from essential oils and extracts.
Over a year ago, I posted my first review of Alteya Organics products, which included a review of their Rose Lip Balm. Given how much I liked it and lip balms being such an important green beauty product for me, it was natural I got additional lip balms from Alteya Organics when they became available at Love Lula. Aside from Rose lip balm, I wanted to try their Vanilla&Geranium lip balm and Lavender lip balm.
All these lip balms are made of high quality and lips-beneficial ingredients, making them hydrating and nourishing for soft and fed lips. Shea butter and cocoa butter and nourishing and softening, rosemary oil and almond oil are antioxidants.
The texture is smooth and more on the softer side, despite containing carnauba wax and and beeswax. The lip balms just glide on the lips and their staying power is also remarkable.
Of course, the scent of each of these lip balms is also invigorating, and based on nothing but natural scents of high quality essential oils.
Rarely is there an occasion where you come across a lip balm, selling itself as a rose balm and actually containing a high concentration of an actual Rosa damascena oil and, on top of it all, smelling like one – the Alteya Organics Rose Balm is just that.
Either a vanilla lip balm or a geranium lip balm – I like either, but when the two scents are combined in such a high quality lip balm as the Alteya Organics is – even better. The scent of vanilla, while noticeable, takes a back seat to the scent of geranium, which I like so much. And the scent lingers on for quite some time.
For those, who like the lavender scent – you’re gonna like the Alteya Organics Lavender lip balm so much! The concentration of the lavender is not on a stingy side; Alteya Organics is known for nothing taking any short cuts when it comes to formulating their products with high concentration of high quality (and expensive) ingredients, and this lip balm is not different.

How about the ingredients?
The main formulation of these lip balms is the same for all them; the only difference is the essential oils on which the lip balm’s scent is based on.
Ingredients: Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil*, Cera Alba (Beeswax)*, Macadamia Integrifolia (Macadamia) Seed Oil*, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter)*, Copernica Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax*, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter*, Triticum Vulgarum (Wheat) Germ Oil*, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract*, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Rosa Damascena (Rose) Flower Oil*, Linalool**, Citronellol**, Eugenol**, Geraniol** *Certified organic ingredients **Naturally occurring in the essential oils
Almond Oil has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It is rich in essential fatty acids (especially linoleic acid) and Vitamin E. Great for sensitive skin. Beeswax and Carnauba are emollients, with anti-bacterial and anti-irritant properties. Macadamia Seed Oil is a rich and skin-identical ingredient due to high palmitoleic acid (found in the sebum of human skin). It softens the skin and works as an anti-irritant. Shea Butter, rich with Vitamins E and a nourishing butter; renowned for its skin softening and moisture retaining ability. Excellent for healing aged and extremely dry skin. Cocoa Seed Butter, high in Vitamin E, helps to soften, moisturize, condition and protect dry skin. It also seals in moisture and improves skin elasticity. Wheat Germ Oil has potent antioxidant properties. Rosemary Extract, an antioxidant, promotes and improves circulation and stimulates cells renewal. It has antimicrobial properties and is great for oily, acne and blemishes prone skin.
The Rose lip balm contains rose oil, the Vanilla&Geranium contains vanilla fruit extract and geranium oil, while the Lavender lip balm contains lavender.
Potentially problematic ingredients? None.

My final word?
For someone, who likes lip balms so much and uses them so very frequently – the Alteya Lip Balms check all the demands: they are formulated with high quality and lips-beneficial ingredients, from butters such as shea and cacao butter, to Vitamin E, the the antioxidant and stimulating rosemary oil. They feel rich and luxurious on the lips, nourishing and hydrating. The scents of these lip balms bring in the final reason why these lips balms are so liked by me: the scent is beautiful, lasting and the source of it are natural high quality essential oils.
The price? £3,60 for Vanilla&Geranium and Lavender Lip Balms, and £4,50 for the Bulgarian Rose Lip Balm – very reasonably priced; I’d even say a very low cost in itself, but even more so given the high quality of these lips balms.
Needless to say, I highly recommend the Alteya Organics Lip Balms!
