Hello greenies! I mean, yay – it’s Friday, but – where has the week gone? Goodness gracious, I’m torn between the time flying on one hand and, on the other hand, a day seems like a year. With these days being the days which are and will mark one year… living through it all, all over again, even moreso than already I am… I don’t know whether to hide under the pillow or bravely face the world. Never ever in my life had one year gone by so insanely fast, while at the same time, one day feeling like a whole year. This utter confusion when it comes to time, as well as a place, is mind boggling. But I am aware this is all just a process; that doesn’t mean it’s any easier, in reality.

The Spring this week has not been all that perky, has it? So much rain and not enough Sun. I’ve had a new review planned for this week, a review of a really awesome green beauty product (hint: lipsticks), but – alas – the time was faster than me. But by golly – the lipstick review will go live next week! Also, I have in store for you, my lovely readers, lipbalms review, bodywash review, a mini review of various green beauty products, an excellent face primer and an even more excellent BB cream – to name just a few in the upcoming weeks.

But for this week, I have some more great green beauty deals – from many discounts to even even more free organic beauty gifts for you to check below:

Happy Weekend!

Apr 212017

Hello greenies! And we’ve managed to drag ourselves to weekend, haven’t we? It’s been a bit chilly in my neck of the woods lately, but hopefully, it will be sunny during the weekend, as I am in a dire need of some unplugging in the forest.

I’m getting a bit tired of promising myself to unwind, day after day, week after week, and yet – here I am, running from one place to another, trying to find a moment… And this feeling of time flying. I mean, it wasn’t that long ago we had New Year and now we’re about to turn the corner into May…. Strange things…

Anyway, in case you’ve missed, I reviewed Laidbare detox mask this week; it’s a mask, targeting oily and combination skin and it’s really affordable. Don’t let these “green beauty gurus” who just found green beauty and wanted to jump on a bandwagon, tell you how only expensive products are actually good – had they known anything, and actually understood ingredients (just take a look at the ingredients in the expensive products they promote), they wouldn’t be saying such preposterous things – but the only thing they’ve been studying is other green beauty bloggers and sneakily stealing our work. This snobism, which crept into green beauty, is scary and some brands seem to actively engage in this – after all – the only green thing they care about is money. Again, do not let such cheap and see-through marketing ploys steer you away from green beauty. And yes, this issue will be a part of my rant on the state of green beauty blogging.

Anyway, for this week, I’ve gathered some more discounts for you – just in case you ran out of your fav product. This week is pretty loaded with free gifts – I’d like to draw a special attention to – FREE Love Lula Beauty Box as well as – and this one is for all those, who, like me, have a weak spot for nail polishes – 20% off on Maggie Anne nail polishes.

Check all the info below!

Clay based Laidbare For Richer For Porer Facial Mask, targeting oily and combination skin, detoxifies and moisturizes, while also performing as a mild exfoliator, leaving the skin calm and smooth.

Laidbare For Richer For Porer Facial Mask Review

Facial masks are a treat for the skin and while finding a moisturizing mask is quite easy, finding a good detox mask, especially one you don’t have have to mix yourself, can be a bit more tricky.

I’ve been using various clays as my detox masks for about 15 years now; I make my own detox mask, using, mostly, green clay, mixing it with tea tree essential oil, tea tree and/or witch hazel hydrolate, along with white willow bark extract.

But having a mask, which comes in a tube, is far more convenient – and Laidbare For Richer For Porer Facial Mask is that convenient solution. I received the mask in my March Love Lula Beauty Box, and this is the charm of beauty boxes – you get a product which may have been on your wish list for a while, but somehow, other products always found their way in your basket or a product may not have been on your radar, and now that you’ve tried it, you’re glad you did.

* * *

Laidbare For Richer For Porer Facial Mask comes in a generous 50ml tube. The scent is somewhere between minty and herbal; it’s a pleasant and not overpowering. The texture is somewhat thick; what surprised me, at first, were those tiny parts in it – I thought maybe the formulation was not whipped enough – it turns out, the detox mask also works as a mild exfoliator.

I apply a rather thick layer of Laidbare For Richer For Porer Facial Mask, and since the mask does not dry quickly, I leave it on for a good 20 min. While the mask itself will provide, along with detox, exfoliation and hydration, for a good pampering session, I suggest first using an exfoliator, followed by this mask, then using a hydrating mask.

After the mask dries, I rinse it with warm water, massaging the mask away, as it contains tiny exfoliators, therefore using this mask as a peeling as well.

The results of using Laidbare For Richer For Porer Facial Mask are rather quick – a smooth, calm skin, while after using it twice weekly for the past month, it lessened the appearance of pores – just as it promises it would.

I had no adverse reaction to this mask at all – there was no irritation, no acne, no redness – just a calm, smooth and nourished skin – after all, it also contains shea butter, aloe vera juice, rose water… The mask, after rinsing, does not leave a greasy or sticky feeling.

* * *

So, how about the ingredients?

Ingredients: INSIDE AQUA (WATER), KAOLIN (CLAY), CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE (COCONUT), ISOPROPYL MYRISTATE (PALM OIL), ALOE BARBADENSIS (ALOE VERA) LEAF JUICE, GLYCERIN (COCONUT), CETEARYL GLUCOSIDE (SUGAR), GLYCERYL STEARATE (PALM KERNAL), ROSA DAMASCENA (ROSE) FLOWER WATER, ZEA MAYS (CORN COB) POWDER ,CETEARYL ALCOHOL (PALM KERNAL OIL), BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII (SHEA) BUTTER, ILLICIUM VERUM (STAR ANISE) OIL, DEHYDROACETIC ACID, BENZYL ALCOHOL (NATURALLY DERIVED PRESERVATIVE), PANTHENOL (VITAMIN B5), CITRUS AURANTIUM DULCIS (ORANGE) PEEL OIL, GLYCYRRHIZA GLABRA (LIQUORICE) EXTRACT, LAMINARIA JAPONICA (JAPANESE SEAWEED) EXTRACT, CITRUS NOBILIS (MANDARIN) PEEL OIL, TOCOPHEROL (VITAMIN E), XANTHAN GUM (NATURALLY DERIVED THICKENER), LIMONENE (ESSENTIAL OIL), POTASSIUM SORBATE (NATURALLY DERIVED PRESERVATIVE), SODIUM BENZOATE (NATURALLY DERIVED PRESERVATIVE).

Kaolin clay is a fat absorbent and an abrasive agent. It tones and cleans the skin of toxins, while promoting circulation. Aloe vera hydrates and rejuvenates skin. Shea butter is rich in fatty acids. It is very nourishing and hydrating. It promotes skin’s elasticity. Orange peel oil has antiseptic and anti-toxin properties. It rejuvenates the skin and acts as a natural exfoliator. Licorice is an emollient and has anti-inflammatory properties. Mandarin essential oil has water-retention properties.

And Rose water.

* * *

Potentially problematic ingredients?

  • Isopropyl Myristate (fragrance ingredient, emollient) : can be a potential skin irritant.
  • Benzyl alcohol (EWG score 5) can be naturally occurring in essential oils or synthetic. Benzyl alcohol is is used as a solvent and preservative. EU regulation allows a maximum of 1% in cosmetic products. Benzyl alcohol can be a skin allergen and can cause skin and eye irritation.

* * *

My final word?

Laidbare For Richer For Porer Facial Mask Review

Laidbare For Richer For Porer Facial Mask is quite a surprise, really. The results are exactly what the mask promises – impurities are sucked out of the skin, if there are some spots, they are dried up. This detox mask, which also moonlights as a mild exfoliator, leaves the skin calm and smooth, and within weeks of using the Laidbare For Richer For Porer Facial Mask, the results are visible. Given the ingredients, it also moisturizes the skin.

With using this mask twice a week, it should last you for about 3 months – and you will want to apply a thicker layer, as it feels really good on the skin. I would recommend this mask exactly to those, whom this mask is targeting – those with oily, combination skin, who need an extra help detoxifying their skin. If you have acne and/or spots, the mask will gently dry them up, but it won’t dry up your skin.

And all of this for about €10 for a 50ml tube? Yeah, that’s what I call a great deal. Do I recommend the Laidbare For Richer For Porer Facial Mask? Certainly.

Do you use facial masks? What’s your ritual with facial masks? Have you tried Laidbare For Richer For Porer Facial Mask and – did you like it? Let me know!

Hello greenies! How have you been? Enjoying the Spring? Sometimes, we over-look the beauty surrounding us, as we’re racing from one point to another, from past to future. It can be hard being in the moment and just – being. It’s like we can’t seem to allow ourselves a moment to be with ourselves. I used to be pretty centered, taking the time for me, being present right here and right now. The past year… I’ve been all over the place and, what it feels like, nowhere at the same time – both when it comes to mind and body. The biggest problem was not even being in bed while being in bed and not sleeping when my body was screaming it terribly needs sleep and rest. Thoughts racing, hurt chocking…

Slowly, very slowly, my mind has been been having small moments, where I felt peace. Having faith this moment would, eventually, come – I just need to keep on going, keep on having hope and faith. And eventually, that feeling of having your heart, even if just for a moment and – finally came – being caressed by a feather of comfort. It’s actually been there all this time, I just didn’t allow myself to feel it.

There’s so much hurt and pain in this world. We all have our crosses to bear. But we also know there is a way – the way. We feel it in our hearts and souls – love, compassion, care, kindness – for others as well as ourselves. Blessed are those, who can find beauty all around us, and within ourselves. Hardened hearts have a difficulty smiling when they see little birdies standing, with their little shaking but curious legs, on a tree, for the first time. Those who’d rather step on a Spring flower as opposed to having their heart filled with its beauty or picking it up and giving it to someone they love (if they love at all) – those carry the heaviest cross of them all – themselves.

When you find yourself in the midst of a personal tragedy, you will also find two kinds of people: those with a heart and those without. Those without will step on your bleeding heart in order to fill their ego. Those who have a heart, will extent a helping hand with an honest look in their eyes – and these are the ones which God has sent to us to lessen our pain.

Seek all that is good, seek all that is kind. And goodness and kindness will, eventually, find you. The daily burdens are heavy, the pain is deep, sometimes, the night seems like it will never end. It will – as the light always finds its way.

Being in a constant hurry, it’s hard to stop for a moment and be grateful and thankful for all we have – and I am not even talking about material things – as we’re so preoccupied with what we don’t have (anymore/yet).

This will be my first Easter without her. In the past year, there have been so many occasions without her – so many seconds without her. I know it will hurt, but I am determined to open my heart, like a window in the early Summer morning, to the joy of Easter and everything is represents and everything it is. And I’m going to be even more thankful for having her in my life – before and now – just in a different kind of way.

Seek love and you will find love. It’s all around us, it’s within us.

To all my beautiful readers and friends – thank you for encouraging me to keep going with this lil’ blog of mine – I was lucky enough to have found some pretty remarkable and kind souls exactly because of this blog. And some of you have helped me in my darkest moments, with your immensely kind words, and for that – I am grateful.

I wish you all a Happy Easter and may you be blessed and joyful – with love – everything is possible!

Oils of Heaven Moringa Oil is a very light, fast absorbing carrier oil, ideal for dehydrated skin due to its antioxidant content, but even more so, ideal for oily skin due to its anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.

Oils Of Heaven Moringa Oil Review

A few months ago I reviewed Oils of Heaven’s Cacay Oil; today, I’ll review another oil from Love Lula’s own brand – Oils of Heaven Moringa Oil. After thoroughly testing the Cacay Oil and being impressed with it, I thought Moringa Oil might lag behind a bit – not so! If you were to ask me which of the two I’d recommend, I’d say a combination of the two could very well prove to be the best – Cacay Oil for more of a nourishing pampering, while the Moringa Oil is that carrier/facial oil you can reach to at any given moment, especially if you have an oily (which can be quite dehydrated, too) skin, prone to acne, but you need a light and fast absorbing facial oil.

* * *

The Oils of Heaven Moringa Oil is of a light yellow color and you’ll immediately notice that the texture is very light; it won’t feel heavy on the skin and it will absorb very quickly – thus being a great facial oil to be used even during the day, before applying moisturizer and makeup; even though, with Moringa Oil being such a great emollient, your skin will receive much hydration as it is.

Oils Of Heaven Moringa Oil Review

Soon after using Moringa Oil, you will notice your skin having a healthy glow due to the oil having exfoliating properties as well, and it won’t, by any means, feel nor look oily.

* * *

Moringa Oil constitutes of a high content of fatty acids, specifically 70% of oleic acid. Another constituent, worthy of mention, in Morniga Oil is Behenic Acid, which helps smooth the skin as well as condition it. Moringa Oil also contains a strong presence of antioxidants in a form of Vitamin E and flavonoids and sterols, thus making this light facial oil a great anti-aging oil as well.

Due to its anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties, Morniga Oil, being excellent for oily and acne prone skin,  has a long shelf life, and can act as a mild natural preservative as well.

* * *

My final word?

Oils of Heaven Moringa Oil and Cacay Oil

The Oils of Heaven Moringa Oil is a light, fast absorbing carrier and facial oil, excellent for the skin in a need of hydration, but above all – it’s an excellent oil for oily and acne prone skin. It’s a great anti-aging oil, which will leave your skin with a healthy and non-greasy glowy look, while also proving the skin with an anti-aging benefits.

I’ve been using the Oils of Heaven Moringa Oil for the past 3 months, and there’s about half of the 30ml bottle left; I’ll keep the remaining oil for the summer days, as this light and fast absorbing oil will come handy during hottter days, when the skin will still need much hydration, but something light on the skin as well.

The price? £19 (around €22) for a 30ml bottle, which should last you around 6 months – affordable and acceptable. However, you can also get 15ml of Moringa Oil for £9,50 or a set of trial sizes of all the Oils of Heaven Oils for £12,50.

Do I recommend Oils of Heaven Moringa Oil? Absolutely, it’s an affordable facial oil, great for any type of skin, but especially for those, with oily skin, who are looking for a light facial oil with anti-bacterial properties.

* * *

Have you tried any of the Oils of Heaven Oils yet? How did you like them? Have you had a chance to try their Moringa Oil? Let me know!
